Here are updates on the GoTeach project as of today, 24th of June 2007.

1. Teach Team

• Razeem and Abullo joined the team.
• Currently working on the teach time table, identifying teaching materials/aids and preparing an estimated budget for the team. These will be finalised within a day or  two.
• They are also preparing teaching notes for Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology, Commerce, Accounts.
• New member, Shaheeda joined the team and responsible for preparing Chemistry notes.
• Study and exam skill notes are also currently being prepared.
• Team is also looking for a volunteer who can help with preparing Economic notes
• Decided on how to go about measuring the effectiveness of the project. Work on this will be started soon.

• All the schools and island offices have been informed about the project.
• The schools are getting prepared for the GoTeach project.
• Atoll chief, Mr. Ali Waheed has been also informed about the project.
• The schools have indicated the subjects they most want assistance and the number of students participating the O/L exam.
• Some schools have already met the PTA to discuss the project.
• The MoE has officially informed the schools about GoTeach.
• Transportation means from Kadhoo to the islands have been identified.
• Letter to Ministry of Atolls informing about the project is prepared and ready to be sent. This will be done shortly.
• Estimated budget for the team provided to Finance Team.
• Contacted Island Aviation Services and booking for flights already made. IAS also offered 15% discount on the tickets. A request has been made to IAS to change some of the booking details. Awaiting for their response.
• Contacted MTCC Male' requesting a quote for speed boat transfer from Kadhoo Airport to required islands. Awaiting for their response.
• Secured office space from Ministry of Gender and Social Services with internet connection.
• New member, Ubad joined the team and will be working on securing teaching aids/materials

• Final draft of advertising plan and sponsor letters are being drafted.
• Currently working on the advertising schedule.
• GoTeach was promoted among CHSE students at Dharubaaruge after the exams. Chocolates and sweets were distributed and manged to record 160 interested students.
• Firu and Hinna went live on Mariyaad programme and provided information about the project to public. A second appearance is planned on the same programme to provide and update of the project.
• Contacted Haveeru and Miadhu to cover GoTeach. They agreed to publish an article about the project. This needs to be followed up.
• Managed to get a very good deal to print 100 t-shirts from Naushad Arts. Mrf 30 per t-shirt.
• Briefed about the project to Minister of Youth, Minster of Gender and Social Services and Minister of Atolls.
• Printed leaflets, posters and application forms.
• Leaflets and posters displayed at CHSE.
• Information session held at CHSE on 23rd June 2007 to provide information about the project.
• GoTeach Logo finalised after taking a vote among team members.

• Currently working on estimated budget for the project. This will be completed within days.
• Liaising with Marketing Team in preparing advertising plan and sponsor letters.
• Time Plan for the entire project has been prepared identifying task managers and date of implementation.
