Purpose:    Emergency meeting to discuss the stipend issue of government sponsored students

Main Discussion:
•    The matter of delay in the payment of stipend to government sponsored students in UK was raised with the CC by Ismail (Habarey) and backed up by Shafiu as well. Members of the CC contacted some of the students effected and got confirmation of the situation and updated the CC
•    The concern that CC was not aware of the situation beforehand and that all the CC members are extremely upset with the situation facing the affected members was raised.
•    All the CC members expressed their great sorrow in hearing this news, and suggested ways in which MSA can help those students who are affected.
•    Muiz to contact The Maldivian High Commision, The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, the Ministry of Higher Education, Employment and Social Security
•    Muiz discussed the situation with the Minister of State of higher Education Hon. Ahmed Nazim, immediately, and got confirmation that they have now sent the request to dispatch the stipend to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, and that the minister will look into the issue further as an immediate matter.
•    A plan of action was made to deal with the issue. An email to be sent to members regarding the issue, CC members to contact the members who are affected,  Muiz to contact the relevant Maldivian authorities, and update the members with the replies that Muiz gets from those authorities.

Other Matters:
•    Follow up of the Rosemont email address article and museum article was dealt and both to be sent asap.
