Purpose:    To discuss the various issues raised at the previous meeting and come to conclusion on the urgent matters

Minutes:

1.  Eid Competition
•    A deadline for submitting the Eid celebration reports. January 7th was proposed and agreed by all
•    The prizes to be given to the winning teams from each category. A cup and certificate for the best report, the most recent James Oliver cookbook and certificate for the best photos/video submission and the highest turnout was agreed
•    The time for giving the prizes was agreed to be at the EGM as it would give a sense of grandeur and being ceremonial

2. MSA Constitution
•    The importance of amending the present constitution which was passed in 2004, to reflect the present situation and be more equipped for the future of MSA was discussed.
•    It was decided that the CC members go through the proposed amendments prepared by Fazeel Najeeb abd come to a common ground on all the sections of it before putting it up on the forum for members to discuss
•    A deadline of 31st January set for CC to form an agreed amended constitution ready to be put up on the forum for members
•    The constitution to be kept on the forum until 1st April, and voted at the EGM which will be in the first week of April. This will give members a lot of time to discuss the various proposals in the proposed constitution and comment on them or even put forward their own proposals.
•    It was decided to put up a news article informing the members about this on the website.

3. Rosemont
•    Concerns of members that nothing is said in the website about the Rosemont issue was raised by Annu. Muiz mentioned that Dr. Shafiu is currently preparing a Rosemont Report which will include the income and expenditure and  recommendations for the house, and that he will give it hopefully after a week
•    It was decided to put up a news article informing the members about this in the website.

4. Website Improvement
•    The importance of updating the website with regard to the information provided on some sections of the website, and things like the online registration part , and also easier navigation was raised and discussed.
•    The idea of calling for volunteers to help with the website improvement floated and agreed as currently only Jaa is involved with the technical aspects of the website.

4. SMS Service
•    The importance of starting this new service as a means of getting in contact with more members and keeping them updated with the activities of MSA was discussed
•    Jaa pointed out that he will get back to the CC with details of any cost involvements that may be related to this.

5. Other Matters
•    Annu and Thaa to start feasibility study into the Film Night fundraising event.
