The popular Maldivian singer Umar Zahir is flying to London to perform at the Maldivian Evening organized by the Maldivian Students' Association in the UK in association with the Maldivian High Commission in London. Umar will be accompanied by the other two members of his three-piece band.

The event is being organized to raise funds to help the education sector in the Maldives after the devastation caused by the tsunami last year.

Maldivian Evening is receiving good support and all tickets are nearly sold out. Those who cannot make it to the event may wish to buy raffle tickets to enter two draws. The winner of each which will earn a one-week vacation for two in a luxury resort in the Maldives.
