The holy month of Ramadan begins tomorrow for the United Kingdom. The UK Ruiyate Hilal Committee and Kingston Mosque have confirmed this on both their websites. 6th November 2002 has also been declared as the first day of Ramadan in the Maldives. The decision was taken during a special meeting held at the Islamic Centre on the evening of 4th November, to make a decision on the sighting of the moon for Ramadan.
