The Central Committee and the Web Team extends warm greetings and sincere wishes to all members and fellow countrymen on the jubilant occasion of 39th anniversary of our independence.

On this historic day of ours, it must be our patriotic duty to remember the great sacrifices made by our national heroes to defend the freedom and sovereignty which we are enjoying today.

If we look into our country’s past, there are many great lessons we could learn from these great heroes and we, as Maldivians should make every effort to inspire the tireless and courages efforts made by them and do what ever we could to maintain the freedom, unity, peace and tranquillity we have been enjoying for the past 39 years.

Today, we as students studying in the UK have the great opportunity to gain western education and we should strive hard to excel in our chosen field of study to gain the qualifications, competencies and skill required and serve our mother land and build a strong base to maintain our independence– freedom, peace and harmony.

May Allah Almighty, Most-Gracious, Most-Merciful blessing and peace be upon the departed souls of our national heroes for the sacrifice they made to preserve our beloved nation’s independence.

May Allah’s peace and blessing be with us all and may our country, Maldives remain free, sovereign and maintain the peace and harmony we have been enjoying for the past for forever.
