The Central Committee members visited the World Travel Market Fair held at ExCel, London on 13th November 2003.

The main objective for attending the WTM fair was to promote MSA(UK) and to look into ways of obtaining sponsorships and better deals for members.

According to the Central Committee, they had very good opportunities to discuss issues with key personnel from leading companies serving the tourism industry of Maldives and also other major international organisations like Emirates Airlines and Student Travel Organisations etc. The Treasurer Ibrahim Iyas said "Visiting the WTM was a great step forward in promoting MSA(UK) and we have acquired many leads in generating possible sponsorship for MSA(UK)".

During this visit, the Central Committee had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr Mohamed Saeed who was the head of the Maldivian delegation at WTM fair. Mr Saeed expressed his gratification to meet the committee members and discussed how MSA(UK) could support such tourism events in UK in the future.
