Eid has been a joyous occasion for Maldivian for years, however, sadly the spirit of Eid seems to have been dying in recent years. MSA calls upon its members to celebrate the coming Eid-ul-Adha (falls on 30 Dec 2006) with a vengeance. Gather to the nearest concentration of Maldivian students and cook up a feast and have a laugh doing it. Rejuvenate the friendships and establish new ones. Touch upon the blessings of God by attending the Eid prayers at your local mosque - the times are on their websites.

As an incentive to get you all off your bums, we are pleased to announce that we would be offering prizes for the following:
- Best fun activity (come on do something DIFFERENT!)
- Best news article as a report of the event
- Best pictures or (short) video clip

We really look forward for news articles and pictures of the events so that we may share with other members on the MSA website. So get on moving, start calling friends and Maldivians around your area and make a city/state wide gathering. We suggest volunteers take lead and call other members to join in with them. We suggest that everyone attending the event chip-in towards the cost of the cooking and whatever celebratory activity you are planning.
