The High Commission of Maldives in London has invited all Maldivians in the UK for its annual "roadha veelun" in London on 14th October 2006. MSA has wrapped the event around the Fresher's Day programme it runs for all new Maldivian students to welcome them to the academic life in the UK. The Fresher's day also serves as a time to socialize with other Maldivians scattered around the country and have a bit of fun before digging deep into studies.

The tentative schedule for the breakfast/fresher's day is given below. We would appreciate if you let us know if you will be attending the event.

13th October (Friday)
Afternoon: Arrival of participants
6.00pm – 7.00pm : Breaking fast
8.00pm – 10pm : Friendly football match/ice breaking with games
10.00pm: Tharaavees (keun n namaadhu)
 
14th October (Saturday)
4.00am: Haaru keun
8.00 – 10.30am: getting ready
10.30 – 12.00am: Orientation meeting
12:00pm: Leave for tour
1.00pm: Regent's Park mosque
1.30pm: central London tour
5.00pm: leave for roadhvillun at high commission
6.50pm: breaking fast and prayer, followed by group actitivities, entertainment at the same venue
10:00pm: leave back for Rosemont
12:00am: lights out
4:00am Main Haarukeun
