Hinna Khalid, a master's degree student in Bristol has been selected as the flagbearer for the 2006 Commonwealth Day Observance event. The flagbearer was randomly picked from the list of nominees recieved by the MSA and the selection event took place during the Learn-to-Cook session at Manchester today. The High Commission of Maldives has been notified accordingly in order to proceed with the required arrangements with the Royal Commonwealth Society. We congratulate Hinna on the opportunity to represent Maldives and hope the event goes well.
