The MSA-UK Central Committee held a meeting last night to discuss and formulate a plan for the MSA website. This meeting was part of the new Central Committee’s commitment to enhance the website to better serve the needs of the MSA community. Many members had expressed dissatisfaction over the current website and had requested that the website be revamped and the content reworked for increased relevance and better utility.
A structure for the new website with a semi detailed plan for the contents was drawn up by the end of the meeting. The members present at the meeting discussed on various facets of the website such as provision of general information regarding MSA, news and events updates as well as the need for sections for current students and prospective students. Member only features were also discussed and it was agreed to bring back the online discussion forum to facilitate communication and exchange of ideas and thoughts between the members. A key point of the meeting also involved the need to enable online member registration services to allow easy and fast enrolment of new members.
The meeting ended with the production of a draft plan for the website and is expected to come live around the beginning of February. The new website is hoped to become the central hub for all MSA communications and activity news.
The meeting was graced with the presence of a few Advisory Committee members as well as members from the Rosemont Committee, all of who have been with the MSA for an extended period of time. The Central Committee extends appreciation to them for their input and contributions to the production a new plan for the website.
