Be in the next central committee!
MSA-UK election for year 2002/2003 will be held on 28th December, at 9th Rosemont Avenue, London. This will take place during Annual General Meeting of the association and among the attendees. So being, members are encouraged to come along to cast their votes and take part in the fun with their fellow students from different cities of UK. Also, be prepared and bring along your supporters with you, if you are thinking of running for a post within Central Committee. Posts available with the association for the upcoming election are Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Student Advisor and Treasurer. If you still haven?t made up your mind to become one of them just think over few reasons like: * A great chance to help and serve your fellow students * An excellent chance to show who you really are, be it your inspiring leadership quality. * A whole new adventure and excitement in dealing with different people. * A real life experience in being part of an old, well-regarded association. * An invaluable opportunity to make a better MSA. * And, but not last, your association needs enthusiastic people like you. As previous elections, the same procedures may apply and will be consistent with the present Constitution of the association. In other words, the procedure for election should, as far as possible, follow that given in the Constitution, including the nominations, secondment and voting. However, as a newly introduced medium, the association?s official website www.msa-uk.org may be used by the prospective candidates during their campaign in addition to yahoo group common email. It is believed that this would provide greater opportunities for potential members to express their ideas, and what they want to do for the association before the upcoming election. Those prospective candidates who wish to have a campaign profile on the website or need some help in doing so may write to webteam@msa-uk.org. Your campaign profile will include six elements: a recent picture of you, the post you are interested in, your name in full, your preferred email address for contact, reasons why voters should elect you (i.e., your experience and/or what you will do upon being elected) and your mission or vision.
