MSA-UK successfully organizes the Maldivian Evening

MSA-UK have held the Maldivian Evening in London yesterday. The event attracted around 250 people including students, well-wishers and the general public. The Maldivian High Commissioner in London, HE Hassan Sobir accompanied by his wife, Aminath Nasheeda, and the MP for Finchley and Golders Green Dr Rudy Vis and his wife also attended the event.
The event featured a solo song by Ms Hawwa Nasheeda, music by UNIK band from Maldives, music by a group of students in London, dances by students and pupils as well as boduberu. Two raffle draw winners won a one-week vacation for two in Maldives.
This is the first event of this nature organized by MSA-UK in association with the Maldivian High Commission in London in the UK. It was sponsored by Villa Hotels, Bandos, Emirates, Sailing Tours, Maldive Travel, Jubilee Travel and Atlas MOT Services. The event was otherwise supported by the whole Maldivian community, including students and other well-wishers. MSA-UK Central Committee and the Maldivian Evening Taskforce wishes to express their gratitude to all the sponsors and contributors for their support and cooperation.
